Green-fingered TPE volunteers spring into action at Huddersfield Park
A group of green-fingered colleagues from TransPennine Express (TPE) has spent the day volunteering at a Huddersfield park.
Four dedicated volunteers spent the day at Greenhead Park planting flower beds and repairing a dry-stone wall.
The group also did some spring cleaning by litter-picking the area.
The event coincided with Earth Day (Monday 22 April), which aims to highlight the importance of protecting our planet.
Nicola Martin, Head of Sustainability at TPE, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who volunteered and spent the day at Greenhead Park – there has been an amazing transformation in just one day.
“At TPE we are committed creating a better environment for the communities we serve.”
TPE aims to lead and enable sustainable tourism and transport across the North of England and into Scotland via its commitments to customers and sustainability.
