Half-price tickets for students travelling on TransPennine Express services
Students can now save even more on rail travel by using a simple code with TransPennine Express (TPE)
As freshers travel to their new halls of residence and returning students head back to university, TPE is giving them a helping hand with a money-saving code which will give them half-price tickets.
Students with a 16-25 railcard can enjoy a 50% off* discount instead of the usual 1/3 discount from their railcard, by booking directly with the train company by simply entering the code TPESTUDENT when buying via the TPE app or by following the link and clicking on the orange ‘buy tickets’ button: Half Price Train Tickets for Students| Save 50% | TransPennine Express (tpexpress.co.uk).

With the 50%* discount, students can travel across fantastic destinations across the TPE network, such as Liverpool to Leeds, for as little as £6.60* and Edinburgh to Newcastle for just £4.70.*
The 50%* discount applies to TransPennine Express Standard Advance Purchase tickets only and Standard Airport Advance tickets to and from Manchester Airport.
