TPE partners with Dragon’s Den backed recruitment platform ivee to support career returners
TransPennine Express (TPE) has partnered with ivee, the recruitment platform built for people returning to work after a career break.
As seen on Dragons’ Den, ivee was founded by sisters Amelia and Lydia Miller after seeing their mum struggle to re-enter the workforce.
The platform vets employers to guarantee all advertised jobs are flexible, supportive, and inclusive, connecting skilled candidates with forward-thinking businesses that value experience.
Together, TPE and ivee are helping more people find their way back into meaningful, flexible careers.
The operator’s flexible approach helps attract more women into the industry, and today 22% of TPE’s engineering team are women — above the UK average of 16.5%.
TPE continues to welcome people from all walks of life, from ex-military and teachers to career changers, offering roles that fit different lifestyles and ambitions.
It also provides flexible working options where it’s available to do so, with bank holidays that can be taken at different times, and job shares in frontline roles.
Nicola Buckley, People Director at TPE, said: “At TPE, we’re proud to create a workplace where flexibility and opportunity go hand in hand.
“We know life doesn’t follow a straight line, so we aim to support colleagues through different stages — whether that’s returning from a career break, balancing family life, or trying something new in rail.
“Partnering with ivee helps us reach even more talented people who might not have considered a career in the railway before.”
Amelia Miller, co-founder of ivee, said: “We’re genuinely excited to be partnering with TPE – they’re showing what it means to be forward-thinking when it comes to supporting people back into work.
“Flexible working and creating opportunities for returners aren’t just nice-to-haves, they’re essential if we want to open doors to the talent that’s so often overlooked.
“That’s exactly the kind of change ivee was built to drive, and it’s brilliant to be doing it alongside a partner like TPE.”
