TPE proudly joins the celebration at Hull Pride for the first time
TransPennine Express (TPE) proudly took part in Hull Pride for the first time on Saturday 26 July, joining thousands of people in a joyful celebration of love, inclusion and community.
The colourful event saw more than 25 TPE colleagues from across the Humberside region come together under this year’s welcoming theme – “You’re Welcome” – for a day full of colour, connection and celebration.
The day began at Hull Paragon station, where TPE staff met to connect and prepare for the festivities – proudly decorating themselves with Pride face paint and glitter before heading off to join the parade.
Spirits were high as colleagues shared stories, took photos and got into the celebratory mood together.
The TPE team then took to the streets of Hull city centre, walking in the Pride Parade with energy and offering a moving display of visibility and allyship alongside the local LGBTQ+ community.
The vibrant march was filled with music, cheering crowds, and a shared commitment to inclusion and equality.
Jane Cubbin, Diversity & Inclusion Manager for TPE said: “We were absolutely delighted to take part in Hull Pride for the very first time. It was an incredible day and a brilliant opportunity for our colleagues to come together and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
“At TPE, we’re proud to be a place where everyone is welcome, and we’re committed to creating a culture of inclusion not just within our business, but across the communities we serve.”
This year’s participation in Hull Pride builds on the train operator’s ongoing efforts to celebrate diversity and champion inclusivity – both within the company and across its wider network.
