Autumn is brewing: TPE launches new seasonal menu as Costa Coffee arrives onboard
TransPennine Express (TPE) has launched its new First Class autumn/winter menu, bringing warming seasonal flavours and Costa Coffee to customers onboard its catered services.
To celebrate the refreshed onboard offer, customers travelling through Manchester Airport station on Monday 12 October were treated to complimentary Costa Coffee sachets.
Members of the team at Costa handed out coffee sachets to customers travelling on selected TPE services, giving them a taste of the new offering available.
The celebrations will continue onboard with a customer prize draw running for one month, with five Costa hampers and five TPE Standard Class train tickets up for grabs.
Promotional stickers on Costa cups will feature a QR code, which customers can scan to access an online sign-up survey and enter the draw.
The seasonal refresh now sees the First Class menu: TransPennine Kitchen served across both TPE’s Liverpool to Newcastle route and services linking Liverpool and Manchester with Edinburgh and Glasgow, bringing together hearty flavours and suppliers from across the communities TPE serves.
New additions include slow-cooked beef shin and pale ale stew, featuring Wyresdale Whistle Pale Ale from Lancaster Brewery, alongside the TransPennine Kitchen Sweet Heat Bagel with golden halloumi and chilli jam.
Customers can also enjoy a hot honey sausage roll from Malton-based The Original Baker, as well as a roasted sweet potato and harissa bowl.
Andrew McClements, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TPE, said: “As we settle into the cosier months, we want customers to enjoy something warming and comforting on their journey.
“Having Costa Coffee available across our catered services, alongside a seasonal menu featuring some fantastic regional suppliers, gives customers even more choice when travelling with us this autumn and winter.”
