Extra late-night train services for fans heading home from Manchester gigs in November
TransPennine Express (TPE) will run two extra late-night services this month between Manchester and Liverpool for music fans who don’t want to miss the encore.
Fans of pop star Charli XCX and rock band Sleep Token can now book on to the train operator’s special late-night services.
The first will depart Manchester Victoria at 12:54am on Wednesday 27 November after Sleep Token’s Tuesday night gig held at Co-op Live Arena.
This train will stop at Newton-le-Willows and Lea Green before arriving at Liverpool Lime Street.
Another late-night service will run from Manchester Victoria at 12:54 am on Thursday 28 November direct to Liverpool Lime Street for fans returning from Charli XCX’s set on Wednesday night. This service will also stop at Newton-le-Willows and Lea Green.
Kathryn O’Brien, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TransPennine Express, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer these extra services to help get fans home after enjoying these concerts.
“We’re asking our customers to plan ahead and check before they travel as services may be busy.
Fans who haven’t yet purchased their rail tickets to travel to the concert can do so via TPE’s website: tpexpress.co.uk or on the train operator’s app.
