Extra train service for fans heading home from the Jonas Brothers Manchester gig
TransPennine Express (TPE) will run an extra late-night service between Manchester and Liverpool meaning the Jonas Brothers fans can wait a little bit longer to enjoy every moment of the show.
To ensure customers can hold on to the memories made, a special service will depart Manchester Victoria at 00:25am on Friday 13 September after the ‘Lovebug’ singers perform at their Thursday night gig held at Co-op Live Arena.
The service will stop at Newton-le-Willows and Lea Green before arriving at Liverpool Lime Street at 01:03am.
Recent research by TPE found the top cities to see a gig, with Manchester rated as being the second-best in the UK.
The results are based on an index which scores fifty of the UK’s biggest towns and cities out of 100 based on their accessibility, enjoyability, popularity and affordability.
The other two cities included in the top three destinations for gigs in the UK where also on TPE’s network, with Leeds ranking as number one and Glasgow as number three.
Kathryn O’Brien, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TransPennine Express, said “It’s really important we help our customers head home from concerts so they can enjoy Manchester’s music scene.
“As the survey shows, the city is a hotspot for people travelling to shows and we’re pleased to be able to offer this extra service.
“We’re reminding our customers to plan ahead and of course enjoy the brothers play their music.”
