Extra train services for fans heading home from Sam Fender’s Newcastle gigs this weekend
TransPennine Express (TPE) will run extra late-night services between Newcastle and Darlington this weekend, meaning customers can enjoy every moment of Sam Fender’s homecoming concerts.
A special service will depart Newcastle at 10.47pm after the star performs at St James’ Park on Saturday and Sunday night.
The service will stop at Durham before arriving at Darlington at 11.17pm.
The same service will also operate on Sunday night.
Andrew McClements, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TransPennine Express, said: “It’s really important we help our customers head home from concerts so they can enjoy Newcastle’s music scene to the full.
“We’re reminding our customers to plan ahead and of course enjoy watching Sam Fender play.”
Fans who haven’t yet purchased their rail tickets to travel to the concert can do so via TPE’s website: tpexpress.co.uk or on the train operator’s app.
