Refurbishment set to expand toilets at Hull station
Improvement work at Hull Paragon station is set to transform the toilets and add more cubicles for passengers to use.
Work is due to start later this month to refurbish the existing facilities at Hull station, and the £500,000 revamp will add two extra cubicles to the women's toilets and one to the men’s.
The toilets at the TransPennine Express (TPE) station will also be fitted with improved toilets, sinks, new hand dryers and flooring. The accessible toilet will also be given a makeover.
While work is taking place from Friday 20 September, temporary toilets will be just outside the station building next to the Royal Hotel. An accessible toilet will be available for use next to Costa Coffee inside the station. The waiting area will temporarily be relocated to the ticket hall.
Kathryn O’Brien, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TransPennine Express, said: “We are working hard to improve the toilets for our customers, and we ask them to bear with us while work is taking place at Hull station.
Once work is complete, we know these changes will make a huge difference to our customers travelling on our network.”
The refurbishment is due to be completed by Spring 2025.
