TPE serves up a taste of the Commonwealth with exclusive First Class menu

TransPennine Express (TPE) is celebrating the 2026 Commonwealth Games by launching a limited-edition onboard menu inspired by the flavours of nations across the Commonwealth – from spicy Jamaican Jerk Chicken with Coconut Rice to a classic West Coast Cheeseboard celebrating the UK.

Available from Monday 13 July to Sunday 2 August, the Taste of the Commonwealth menu will be served exclusively in First Class on TransPennine Kitchen West Coast services operating between Manchester/Liverpool and Edinburgh/Glasgow.

Created to celebrate the 2026 Commonwealth Games, the menu takes customers on a culinary journey with dishes representing countries and regions from across the Commonwealth.

Passengers can enjoy a West Coast Cheeseboard celebrating the United Kingdom, Jerk Chicken with Coconut Rice inspired by Jamaica.

As well as Beef Jollof Rice representing West Africa, Cauliflower and Potato Curry with Rice and Naan showcasing the flavours of India, and a traditional Meat Pie inspired by Australia and New Zealand.

The special menu forms part of TPE’s commitment to enhancing the First Class experience, giving customers the opportunity to enjoy high-quality, freshly prepared dishes while travelling to and from the Commonwealth Games.
