TPE’s extra service for the Taylor Swift concert means fans can head home in style
TransPennine Express (TPE) will run an extra late-night service between Liverpool and Manchester on Saturday 15 June, for Taylor Swift fans heading home from the ‘Eras Tour’ and make it the best day.
The additional service will allow attendees to long live the memories of the show, departing from Liverpool Lime Street at 23:32, calling at Liverpool South Parkway, Warrington Central, and Birchwood, before arriving at Manchester Piccadilly at 00:34.
For Thursday 13 and Friday 14 June, anyone heading home after the show can do so in style by making use of the 00:18 direct service from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Victoria, which was recently introduced as part of the June 2024 timetable change.
Fans travelling to the concert can also look out for some lover sweets that will be handed out onboard across the three days of the tour (13, 14 ,15 June).
Kathryn O’Brien, Customer Experience & Transformation Director at TransPennine Express, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer this extra service to help get fans home after enjoying the concert.
“And as customers know all too well, it’s not a bad idea to check before you travel.”
Fans who haven’t yet purchased their rail tickets to travel to the concert can do so via TPE’s website: tpexpress.co.uk
