A mental health champion, described as an ‘inspiration’ to her colleagues at TransPennine Express (TPE) has been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Rail travellers across the North and into Scotland are being warned to plan ahead for the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, with strike action by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union set to significantly impact train services. 

Continued strike action by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union is set to cause major disruption to train services across the North and into Scotland this Sunday 29^th May.  

Schools across the North and into Scotland are being invited to try the train on their next trip out, as TransPennine Express (TPE) launches a special discount and easier way of booking travel for groups of pupils.

• This morning’s 6.16am TransPennine Express (TPE) service from Edinburgh became the first passenger train to stop at Reston in more than 50 years

• TPE’s Nova 1 (802212) now carries the name St Abb’s Head to cement links to the local community

TransPennine Express (TPE) is celebrating after winning the Social Inclusion Award at the prestigious Women in Rail Awards ceremony last night.

TransPennine Express (TPE) is asking customers to avoid travel on its services this coming Sunday with another strike by the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union set to take place.
